Dawn Brancheau: Trainer Dawn Brancheau Killed at SeaWorld Whale:

SCHERERVILLE, Ind. - A family from Indiana is waiting for more answers about a freak accident at SeaWorld in Orlando that killed their sister.

The chief trainer, Dawn Brancheau, 40, drowned when an orca whale, named Tilikum, pulled her into the tank in front of tourists.

Brancheau was raised in Cedar Lake, Indiana and attended Andrean High School, where she was class president.

The whale grabbed Brancheau from a poolside platform and thrashed the woman around in front of horrified visitors.

Her family is withholding comment for now, though they shared pictures of Brancheau with FOX Chicago. Other members of the are family traveling to Orlando hoping to get some answers.

Brancheau began to love whales at a very young age after seeing a show at SeaWorld. She seemed to have achieved her goals, even being featured on postcards for the attraction.
